Welcome

Welcome to Show Person, a very unofficial website for the actor David Hyde Pierce. Though he's very much a Broadway boy right now, having won a Tony for the musical Curtains and having just finished up a starring role in Accent On Youth, you might also know him from his film roles, his extensive voiceover work, or, of course, as Niles Crane in the immortal Frasier.

Besides having formidable talent, he's funny, cute, and a charity campaigner. We quite like him, thought he should have a fansite. Enjoy!

8 June 2009: David presents at the 2009 Tony Awards
From the New York Times

David presented Next To Normal's Alice Ripley with her award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical on Sunday 8 June at the 2009 Tony Awards. (Is this becoming something of a tradition? He presented Patti LuPone with the same award last year.)

Host Neil Patrick Harris's introduction of David was pretty funny ("And now, coming out for the second time this month - David Hyde Pierce!"), as was David's reading of the nominees (just watch it!). Alice's speech, meanwhile, was a little scary.
